About Me
(he/him)
Background
Hi, I am Ian. I am a 13 year old student passionate about acting, theatrical performances, travel, and exploring new cultures and animals. As a third-generation Eurasian, my mother's family originated from Taiwan and my father's family traces back to Sweden.
My two cats, Owl and Gizmo, are my only siblings, and I attend Cooper Middle School in McLean, VA. In 8th grade, I am learning Algebra I, English Honors, advanced theater, civics/social studies, science, and computer programming. At Cooper, I am also a member of the Ardiuno Club and After School Theater Program. Outside of school, I enjoy playing water polo, swimming, tennis, ice hockey, cross country, horseback riding, and piano. Over winter breaks for the past 3 years, I love to ski downhill for fun with my family as it's been an exhilarating way to see and learn about nature!Free Time
In my free time, I enjoy traveling to different parts of the world and learning new cultures through food and nature photography. Recently in 2019, I was fortunate to travel with my family to Ecuador and see the iconic tortoises on the Galapagos Islands, among many other native animals -- it was super exciting!

What if pet adoption shelters could have unique chatbots for each animal to capture their individual traits? I'm working with a local foster organization to test this idea.
My goal: Increase pet adoption rates in younger adopters.Summer Camps
